The church in the last 100 years has embraced the performance gestalt of the amphitheatre whereas up until that time the adaptable participatory basilica model was used for a variety of body language in seating configurations.  When we gather, and lets face it, we have always gathered, the body language of the space should be &quot;loving people&quot; instead of &quot;loving at people&quot;, it&#039;s not architecture, its environment, participation. Cirque du Soleil not Disney.  More? &quot;Soul Space: Ancient Realities in Postmodern Worship Spaces&quot;. Restoring participation is simply moving the furniture, its that easy!</description>
